give a hoot
I just finished these mittens for Sarah, my mother-in-law. The palms are stockinette, and the owl cable patterns rest on the back of the hand. This was my first knitting project with a non symmetrical stitch pattern. Consequently, they required a bit more concentration than past projects, and I had to rip out several rows from the left mitten. Not easy to follow a pattern while watching a 2 year old.

wow Peter! That's great work! How many hours did they take?
I think they took about 4 or 5 hours. It's hard to say since I had to take one down a few rows and since I worked on them over the period of about two months.
Those look great!
A perfect Sarah treat.
so good peter. for you, precision and creativity are two sides of the same coin. love your work.
