Petit Tonnerre

Petit Tonnerre,
or Little Thunder, arrived today via special delivery. He is a gift to Simeon from Uncle Benjamin.

I couldn't be more proud. Although I can't claim credit for his persistence or rapid learning, I did teach Benjamin to knit while he and Patrick were here over Thanksgiving. I knit in the British or American method, but I taught him the Continental method, under the assumption that being French, this is the method he would have learned from his grandmother or aunts. I was mistaken, but the continental method stuck. And Petit is one result. I'm looking forward to having a knitting buddy for family holidays.

Petit was accompanied by a very nice letter:

Simeon loves him and says thanks! We love you, Uncle Ben.
